Door & Window locks

When it comes to working with doors and windows in most cases it's a case of a manufacturing fault or just years of wear and tear, in some instances it can be as simple as adjusting the door instead of replacing locks if they don't do their job.

In most cases we do tend to have to replace the entire lock mechanism, on a door this can take anywhere from twenty-thirty minutes at the lowest prices in Bedfordshire. 

When a lock breaks, it can either be the spindles in the handles that have snapped or worn away; meaning the lock mechanism doesn't catch and turn when you push down on the handle. These are easily replaced as it saved having to replace the entire mechanism and just a specific part - usually cheaper too. Or perhaps the bolts simply have stopped moving, not letting the door or window lock into place properly. A good indicator of this is when the window or door can be pulled or pushed in a corner or there's a breeze coming through.
